Easter "b"unny "b"last 2009!

HAPPY EASTER! B and I made these masks for my friends "no lords day" celebration this weekend. We made lots of them out of bunny shapes. "No Lords Day is the day between Good Friday and Easter, on which there are no living Lords to watch over us, and we can do whatever we want". Check out this blingee that Brian Patchett made for the event. Brian led us around Greenwood cemetery in Brooklyn collecting things for a no lords day scavenger hunt. Everyone got a mask for the day. It was super fun. I have plenty more masks so if you want one just let me know!

"B"rand new diggs

B has acquired new property. Her cage is now extended into include a front yard enclosed by a white picket wire fence....see video above. She hangs out in her new kingdom all day while I am at work. She enjoys jumping in and out of her smaller cage as fast as she can, which I assume is a sign of appreciation....I hope.

"B"ad habits

B has developed this habit of eating food while she is sitting in her litter box. She reaches her face over the edge of the litter box to where her food sticks out of the food tray. She pulls the loose strands of straw and veggies from the food tray and munches them while she sits on her poop pile. Its adorable and gross at the same time. I guess it's better than smoking on the toilet, which is what my grandma use to do when I was growing up.

Another "B"rooklyn Bunny

This bunny lives at Bittersweets in NY. Bittersweets is a jewelry store in Brooklyn, NY. They have jewelry making classes and lots of awesome jewels for sale. I love the stuff they sell, but it's too expensive for me...

They sent this picture out as a valentine...I love it. I need to make a stuffed version of B-unit so she has a friend. It will be my next project. YAY!

"b"right eyed and "b"ushy tailed

I woke up one morning and B was sitting directly in front of my face on a stool I have in my room (see picture above). She was starring at me and was completely still. When i opened my eyes and saw it I lifted my head up to see if she was really starring at me. When I lifted my head she tilted hers a little. I like to think that she was politely waiting for me to wake up before jumping on me like she usually does.

"B"roken finger "b"oogie

Here is B-Unit slow dancing with some singles at the singles slow dance party my roommates and I threw this weekend . She loves slow dancing, as you can tell. "B"allroom dancing is her favorite.

"B"last from the past

My friend, Anjum sent this picture to me. I love how pink it is. I met Anjum in Italy 4 years ago. He is a great friend and he likes bunnies. I like to think about all the Italian bunnies that spend their days frolicking in the vineyards of Tuscany. I am sure they are the happiest bunny's in the world.

Anjum, thanks for the picture! I hope you get to meet B-Unit in person some day!

"B"ad tempered rodent

Here is a Monty Python clip about a killer rabbit. I think it is funny. Especially when it flies through the air like its been shot out of a cannon.

"B"illions of "b"abies

I had a dream that B had lots and lots of babies. More and more kept popping out. They looked more like little puff balls in my dream than actual bunnies. They were all different colors. In retrospect it kind of looked like the scene in the Gremlins when water spills on the bad gremlins and new gremlins start popping out of them like popcorn. Except in my dream it was not scary.

"B"urrow in some "b"ounty

"B"etween two "b"owls

As usual B is exploring the territory. She likes small spaces like this one. I can totally relate. I am the opposite of claustrophobic. I love small spaces. Fort building is one of my favorite things to do. I loved seeing B discover this ceramic bowl fort. We are kindred spirits.

"b"unny "b"owtie

Here is B role playing. She is being a bowtie. Its very convincing. She has to work
on her symmetry though.

"B"alanced diet

These are some of the foods that B eats. Carrot, pepper and leafy greens are part of her everyday diet. She eats apples for desert....but only a little because too much apple will upset her stomach.

"B"rave "B"unny

B has gotten very good at jumping on and off of my bed. Here she is jumping off in one leap. You can see how she hesitates a little and prepares for the bold move ahead. She is a brave little thing. I think I see her knees shake right before she leaps. It is so cute.

"B"anana and hay

B LOVES hay. Timothy hay to be exact. She runs up to me anytime I have it. Here she is taking a big bite out of the grassy tip of one piece. She doesn't like bananas that much, but she gave it a try.

"B"unch of bunnies

This is a perfect example of how you can never have too much of a good thing. Saturate yourself with bunnies. I guarantee it will make all your worries go away.

"B"onnet

This toy hat is a perfect fit for B. It belongs to the "girl elf" figurine from the Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer animated series. I have all of them.

B-unit "b"reakfast

11. Hello my Honey Bunny "Bunnulia"!
I miss my new granddaughter so much! I told Christopher how much I loved petting the bunny and
touching her little back feet! He laughed and asked me if I want my own bunny because there are about three more! Two are white and one is black like your honey bunny! But, unfortunately, I did not accept his offer because I only want a bunny if it doesn't do poopies!

12.
it's so tiny!... and fast!
are rabbits smart enough to learn their names?
and can they be house broken?
just curious...

"B"unny ears

DJ hot shit giving some love to B...in the form of bunny ears.

"B"lank stare

I guess what they say is true. People do look like their pets. Apparently B and I have the same facial expressions. We like to stare blankly into space, as you can see in the photo above.

"B"abs and "B"unny

This is my mom, Barbara. She loves B unit. Someday she wants a little B unit of her own.

"B"ed time

B is trying to take over my bed. She LOOOOVES it and never wants to get off. She loves it so much she uses it as her litter box. She has pooped and peed on it at least 5 times. I know she is trying to "mark" it as her territory. I know this because she does not go anywhere else in my room other than in her litter box (which is in her cage). Another clue to my "mark bed as territory" theory is that when I catch her in the act she stares right into my eyes while she poops. When i approach the bed to take her off she does not move a muscle...just sits in her poop pile and stares at me (see picture above). The most recent offense happened yesterday. I was lying on the bed with her and she suddenly jumped off the bed so fast that she skidded across the floor. Considering she never voluntarily leaves the bed I knew something was not right. Sure enough i discovered fresh poo and pee. For now I blocked all the ways she can access my bed. I am hoping that she forgets about her mission to mark the bed as her territory so I can let her run around on it again someday.

"B"ehind the computer

Today B and I played hide and seek. B kept poking her head up from behind my computer to spy on me. Seeing the tips of her ears above the screen is so exciting. I wish this would happen while I was on my computer at my job. Working would be so much cooler. She must of known I was updating her blog. She has really good timing.

"B"uns on the "b"rain

Look at that toosh...can you see it on my head? look closely.

"B"unny "b"lanket

I cover the cords under my desk with this towel, but B keeps pulling it off. She tries to chew on the cords through the towel and if that is not satisfying enough she pulls the blanket back so she can get to the juicy rubber coated strings underneath. For bunnies, chewing on wires feels like chewing gum....I think.

Where would Microsoft "b"e without Amy Sedaris and her b-units?

"B"usy "b"ee, just like me

B loves to stand on my laptop. She always runs over the keyboard and sniffs the screen. This time the sounds from the keyboard got her attention, so she hung out for longer than usual. I think it is funny so I let her do it, but the titles of my files get all messed up. This time she changed a folder title to this: ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]].

"B"ounce "b"aby "B"ounce

B loves doing this. It keeps her entertained for hours. I think it is hilarious.

"B"unny on the "b"ed

B unit found her way onto my bed and bounced around for about 20 minutes.

Two "B"rooklyn "B"uns

B and I have so much in common! Here is a list of 10 things:

1. We snack all day
2. We love veggies and grains
3. We "bounce"
4. We don't sleep very much
5. We do things we are not suppose to
6. We love to play with fabric
7. We are infatuated with the computer
8. We go on adventures
9. Water is our favorite drink
10. We hate cleaning up after oursleves

Litter "b"ox

This is day three of my attempt to litter train B. The first day she peed and pooped on my bed, which makes me wonder if the two always come together. Actually I know she can poop without peeing, but I have never seen her pee without pooping. She uses the litter box, which is AWESOME, but she poops out of the box as well. She is not peeing in other parts of her cage that I can see. I let her run around my room a few times a day for at least an hour and so far she has not had any accidents. I have a good feeling about this. I am going to continue to use my psychic powers to control her bathroom habits. I plan to focus on sending my thoughts to her brain so she does what I want ther to. So far so good.
